Year 4 & 5 Zoom Class Links.

Before your class:

  • Please try to arrive at least a couple of minutes early to give us time to check your name & admit you into the meeting.

  • It's important that your screen name is the gymnasts first and second name this is really important for safeguarding, we cannot allow anyone to participate in the meeting unless we know it's a member. It also means that our coach can say hi to you & address your gymnast by name to correct technique if needed. If you're not sure how to do this, please watch this short video which shows you.

  • Make sure that you have plenty of room around you and that you have some water ready and are wearing appropriate clothing for gymnastics classes. 

  • Please make sure that long hair is tied back 

  • An adult must be near at all times during the session.

YEAR 4 AND 5 ROUTINE

 

PRESENT TO JUDGE

1. STARTING NEAR WALL - PLACE HANDS IN FRONT AND WALK FEET UP WALL TO SHOW LONG FRONT SUPPORT ON AN INCLINE (HOLD 3 SEC) - WALK FEET DOWN AND HANDS OUT TO RETURN TO STANDING (Handstand Workshop)

2. WALK SMARTLY TO FLOOR SPACE - ARABESQUE (HOLD 3 SEC) OR (Y-BALANCE - (HOLD 3 SEC) 0.1 BONUS) (Jumps, Turns & Balances Workshop)

3. KNEEL, SLIDE INTO SPLITS (Flexibility Workshop)

4. SWING BACK LEG TO FRONT INTO PIKE SIT THEN PIKE FOLD (HOLD 3 SEC) (Flexibility Workshop)

5. LAY FLAT, ARMS BY EARS AND LEGS TOGETHER - PUSH BRIDGE (HOLD 3 SEC) - RETURN TO LAY FLAT (Bridges & Walkovers Workshop)

6. LIFT INTO DISH AND ROLL TO ARCH (Strength Workshop)
