The Comeback Is Always Greater Than The Setback

Dear Members, 

I hope this finds you and your families safe and well. I just wanted to provide you with a club update and to share as much information with you as I can, to let you know what has being going on at LWGC and what to expect in the coming weeks. 

As I know from the many photo’s, video’s and messages we have received, lots of children have been enjoying our LWGC Fun Activities, LWGC At Home sessions and LWGC At Home Awards Programs. I am delighted to see so many children doing gymnastics and most importantly; Having Fun, Building Confidence and Celebrating and sharing their successes with us. A huge THANK YOU and WELL DONE to everyone who has joined in, we will be sending out certificates and posting medals soon. Please send us your pics as and when your little ones receive them! 

I know only too well how challenging it has been to balance working, schooling, parenting and living your best life all from home and I understand if you have not found time to complete our At Home Awards Program. It’s not too late! Everything you need including links and passwords can be found on the emails sent out to our members. We'll be sending this information again today (Tuesday 2nd June) so it's fresh in your inboxes. Please do check your junk folders too.

Since the very day we closed we have been working hard on plans to reopen, as and only when it is safe to do so. Your child’s safety is our utmost priority and we have been planning for various scenarios, with our coaches and gymnasts safety and well-being at the forefront of our minds, as always. Whilst we can make some assumptions, it will be the finer, currently unknown details specific to gymnastics, that will determine whether it is Plan A, B or Z that we are able to run with. 

We are eagerly awaiting an update from the UK Government with regards to sports clubs and subsequently from British Gymnastics, to confirm what that means for gymnastics clubs. Until then I am unable to confirm when we can reopen or exactly what new procedures and processes will be in place, as we do not have the specific guidelines to start to finalize them. 

We have been working hard making preparations for our BIG comeback and wanted to share as much information with you as we can. From this setback, LWGC is going to make an even greater comeback! We have big plans for LWGC and the future is exciting for our members! 

As well as updating our comprehensive risk assessments, cleaning schedules and procedures, Abby and I have spent most of our evenings discussing how we can make our LWGC even better. We have been exploring ways we can improve children’s experience in and out of class, so our gymnasts get more of everything; more fun, more time on apparatus, more confidence, more feedback, more progress and more success! 

We have no plans to reopen as normal, we plan only to reopen better than ever before. I can assure you that whilst taking whatever action is necessary to ensure our members safety.

We remain absolutely determined that LWGC will continue to provide the highest quality gymnastics classes, clear on our mission and true to our core belief, that gymnastics is about children having fun, building confidence and celebrating success. 

We are really excited to share our plans with you and as soon as we have the information we need to finalise them, we will be in touch to let you know.
